He is also the creator of what he calls the Life Finance Forecaster, a personal framework he developed to rebuild his finances and direction at 56.
The Life Finance Forecaster accomplished two things in one for him: it guided his financial life with the clarity of a finance forecaster, and it guided his personal life by helping him take control of the chaos that builds when you don’t know where you’re going.
He went to college in his 40s and started over in his 50s, making his story especially relevant to readers navigating midlife change and late‑life reinvention.
Proudly rooted in the local community, Cream & Amber in Hopkins, MN was the very first indie bookshop to support his journey.
While they don't keep copies sitting on a physical shelf, local readers can easily order his memoir directly through their store catalog for in‑store pickup only.

Showing how setbacks can become turning points when approached with intention and structure
Even though my journey starts at 56, the insights speak directly to people in their 40s and 50s — the lessons are universal for anyone starting over at any age.
My midlife change didn’t happen in a way anyone around me could see. But I did.
I felt something shifting inside me long before anyone else could have seen it — a calmness, a steadiness, a clarity I had never felt before. And I wanted people to know how to get that same change for themselves.
That shift had roots that went back decades.
In the 1990s, I began paying attention to how cash flowed — inflow, outflow, timing, and the patterns behind it. Watching how money moved through the company where I worked, I didn’t realize then that this simple way of coordinating cash‑flow would become the foundation of everything that came later.
Years later, at 56, that early understanding became the system that changed my life.
After decades of low pay and living check to check, that same way of seeing money — in‑flow, out‑flow, timing, and patterns — evolved into the Life Finance Forecaster. Built on Discipline, Consistency, and Time, it helped me look four‑plus years ahead, rebuild my finances, regain stability, and stay grounded when everything around me felt uncertain.
My book doesn’t give readers a step‑by‑step program.
Instead, it shows the arc — the shift in thinking, the structure, and the pattern. It includes a single sample pay period to illustrate how the system works. But the full impact of the Forecaster only becomes clear when it’s carried forward pay period by pay period, looking four or more years ahead.
I wrote this memoir to show the real version of change — the quiet one.
The version that starts inside, with one shift in thinking, one moment of clarity, and grows into a life rebuilt with intention.
Time Met Me Half Way became my way of sharing the structure, hope, and second‑chance mindset that helped me rise from the lowest point of my life and rebuild everything with purpose.
I created the Life Finance Forecaster during the hardest season of my life. It’s a system built on discipline, consistency, and time — the same principles that helped me rebuild my finances and regain clarity. The Forecaster shows how looking ahead many years, pay period by pay period, can create stability, direction, and long‑term confidence.
The system itself is fully explained in the appendix of my memoir — that’s where the step‑by‑step structure is laid out. The story shows why I needed it; the appendix shows how it’s built.
And the Forecaster continues to guide my life today.
The audiobook version of my memoir about resilience, titled 'Time Met Me Half Way,' is currently in development. I’m excited to share that I’m recording the audiobook edition myself. Be on the lookout for the full audiobook, which will be narrated by my mom.
